I think it is incorrect to link the afghan and yomut carpets - they are different and are applicable to two separate cultures.

Many Thanks

afghan or turcoman?

[edit]

i support not to merge... it is very funny to merge afhgan and yomut carpet... because.. in the description of afghan carpet:
Afghan carpets are beautiful pieces with intricate detailing mainly using designs from Turkoman tribes such as the Ersari, Saryk, Salor, and Tekke.
Yomut is also one of the tribe of turkmen people. yomut (or turkmen) carpet designs are used by afghan carpet.. --Ga1taman 14:23, 9 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Don't worry, I've reverted the merge made by BANNED User:Kurdo777 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Self Image (talkcontribs) 00:32, 11 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Economics section needs work

[edit]

This section is interesting and may be accurate, but needs third-party cites to be encyclopedic. Thanks, Pete Tillman (talk) 02:55, 16 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Afghan rugs and Turkmen rugs are the same and the terms are used synonymously

[edit]

This article : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turkmen_rug is talking about the same rugs as those here. The articles need to get merged and overwritten completely to make clear its the same carpet with two different names. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Xerxes931 (talkcontribs) 22:20, 5 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
